How to get a transcript

  1. Select a recording saved on your device, then choose Transcribe file.
  2. Keep this tab open while your browser prepares the audio and Cloudflare transcribes each segment.
  3. Review the text against the recording. Use Copy text or Download .txt after processing completes.

If processing stops

An unsupported codec can stop browser decoding even when the file extension looks familiar. Try a file your browser can decode. Long recordings need more device memory; if your browser runs out of memory, split the recording before trying again.

The product rejects files over 200 MB or audio over 30 minutes. A file below those limits is not guaranteed to work on every device. If an error occurs after some segments finish, the displayed text is partial.

Before using the text

Check names, numbers, punctuation, and words near segment boundaries. Background music and multiple people speaking at once can reduce transcription quality. Only process media you have permission to use.
